Carver College and Career Academy put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 99-52 win over King & Queen Central. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 62-28.
Camron Paul was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven steals and five assists. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Hill, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Charles City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell just short of King William by a score of 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Carver College and Career Academy's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.2 points. As for Charles City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Carver College and Career Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-60 win.
