It was a good run, but the Munford Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 82-44 loss at the hands of Sylacauga. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Munford in their matchups with Sylacauga: they've now lost six in a row.
Sylacauga's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Roberson, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Roberson hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Revish Bardwell, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Munford now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Sylacauga, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Munford will be playing at home against Weaver at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sylacauga, they will square off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Sylacauga is ranked 181st).
