You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.

Ocean Lakes was heavily favored to win coming into its game last week, and the results showcase why. Everything went its way against Bayside as it secured a 63 - 14 victory. At 49 points, that marked Ocean Lakes's largest margin of victory so far this year. Thanks to its success, Ocean Lakes cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 24th spot.
Can't Touch This
Massaponax's 42 - 7 win over Brooke Point last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Joshua Hale. Hale rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns. In fact, our algorithms singled out Hale as one of the top players in the power rankings for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
The showdown between Glass (14th in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Jefferson Forest (31st) shaped up to be more of a takedown. Glass breezed past Jefferson Forest with a final score of 63 - 34. The win boosted Glass a satisfying 13 spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Centreville (10th in the power rankings) and Westfield (6th). The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, we'll see how far they can run the score up this week.
