Dow's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 84-61 loss to Powers Catholic might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Dow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Powers Catholic is ranked 49th).
Meanwhile, Carman-Ainsworth came up short against Heritage on Friday and fell 67-57.
Dow dropped their record down to 5-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Carman-Ainsworth, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
