The biggest upset of the week belonged to Texas City, who defeated 51st ranked Dawson, 44-14. Andrew Allen threw for 68 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 78 yards during the win.
The Stingarees added to the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 24 this week by beating the Eagles, 44-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for Texas City.
Friendswood's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Sargent threw for 203 and 3 touchdowns and Slade Holle had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Sam Longbotham contributed 140 yards. Longbotham helped Friendswood's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 54 yards.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Sargent and Holle proved tough for Santa Fe to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Longbotham helped Friendswood's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 54 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Armanti Foreman. The Texas City star has 18 catches for 319 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Texas City takes on second place Friendswood. Last week, Leland Surovik's team topped Dawson, while Friendswood beat the Indians.
Galena Park moved up to 470 from 552 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Yellowjackets were able to move up by topping Ball 50-12.
