The North Blue Devils will head out to take on the Milwaukee Bradley Tech Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Milwaukee Bradley Tech likes a good challenge.
North is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past Milwaukee Marshall 77-57.
Jamarion Martin and Collins Jacobs were among the main playmakers for North as the former went 11 of 22 on his way to 23 points and seven boards and the latter went 8 for 17 en route to 17 points and five steals. Martin is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Jeffery Dills, Jr also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.
North was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee Bradley Tech hadn't done well against Milwaukee Hamilton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Milwaukee Bradley Tech walked away with an 82-69 win over Milwaukee Hamilton.
Milwaukee Bradley Tech's win came from a few key players North will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jakari Smith, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Arvell Lockhart, who went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and five steals.
Milwaukee Bradley Tech's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for North, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-13.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. North hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.6 points per game. However, it's not like Milwaukee Bradley Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 72.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
North suffered a grim 77-54 defeat to Milwaukee Bradley Tech in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Smith, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 boards. Now that North knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
