Batesburg-Leesville suffered their biggest loss since November 20, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Strom Thurmond 54-19. Batesburg-Leesville has not had much luck with Strom Thurmond recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Fox Creek's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They strolled past Pelion with points to spare, taking the game 46-28. The victory was just what Fox Creek needed coming off of a 73-6 loss in their prior game.
Fox Creek found their leader in underclassman Maya Kryshtalowych, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. Kryshtalowych has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. Jada Jennings was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Batesburg-Leesville bumped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Fox Creek, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11.
