The Lowell Red Devils will take on the Wheeler Bearcats at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Friday, Lowell got the win against North Newton  by a conclusive  13-3. The Red Devils haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.

 Mason Brooker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Lowell is 3-1-1 when  Brooker allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 7-14 otherwise. Brooker was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since May 1st.
 In other batting news, Lowell got a  massive  performance out of  Ryan Wellwerts, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  Wellwerts has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gavin Gutierrez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  triples, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Lowell was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .483. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Newton only posted a  batting average of  .222.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Wheeler, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tri-Township on Friday, sneaking past  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Bearcats have posted  since May 5th.
  Nick Bravo was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. Bravo was also big at the plate,  earning one  run and three  stolen bases.
 Wheeler's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Lowell, their win bumped their record up to 10-15-1.
