The Corinth Holders Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 69-47 defeat to Garner might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Corinth Holders in their matchups with Garner: they've now lost six in a row.
Corinth Holders' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Smith, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Sandaire, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Corinth Holders dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Garner, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing South Garner the next time they take the court. Corinth Holders will host South Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Garner will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
