The Upper Cape Cod RVT Rams will square off against the Mashpee Falcons at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Upper Cape Cod RVT has three straight  wins, Mashpee has 23 straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

 Taysia Lopes made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news, Upper Cape Cod RVT got a  massive  performance out of  Meadow Diede, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and four  runs.  Lucy Pesta was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Upper Cape Cod RVT was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .545. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in four consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Mashpee lost  16-4 to Rising Tide on Tuesday.
 Upper Cape Cod RVT's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Mashpee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
