The Rosemont Wolverine won the last time they faced the El Dorado Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. Rosemont strolled past El Dorado with points to spare, taking the game 30-13.
Michael Cherry had a dynamite game for Rosemont, rushing for 219 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Rosemont also got a significant boost from Juelean Headspeth, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 98 yards.
Rosemont now has a winning record of 5-4. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosemont will challenge Bradshaw Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bradshaw Christian will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for El Dorado, they will head out on the road to face off against Union Mine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Mine is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
