Omaha Westside extended the longest winning streak in A District 3 this week by beating Omaha South, 38-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Warriors.
Millard South led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Papillion-LaVista South.
Benson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JAYDEN SWENSEN threw for 46 yards and TYREE PETER had 27 yards receiving. On the ground TyReis Bell chipped in 44 yards. Nate Tapp helped Benson's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
Benson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bunnies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. SWENSEN has thrown for 672 yards and three touchdowns this season, while PETER has 16 catches for 217 yards. JAVONTE GREEN leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
A big matchup in A District 3 this week will be when the Bunnies take on the Patriots. At the moment, Benson is in fifth, while Millard South is in second.
Anthony Kobza's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,038 from 12,339. The improvement came about via a 63-3 victory over the Bunnies last week.
