Assumption barely beat Davenport North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Assumption, who have now won five matches by four goals or more so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Assumption, bringing their record up to 7-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Davenport North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Assumption will host Wahlert at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Assumption have won three straight at home, while Wahlert won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Davenport North, they will welcome Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
