The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-18 loss at the hands of Frankfort. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Onaga has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Onaga lost, one person who can't be blamed is Konnor Nider. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Onaga struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Onaga's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Frankfort, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Onaga will be playing at home against Linn on Friday. Linn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Frankfort, they will head out on the road to square off against Clifton-Clyde at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clifton-Clyde presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Frankfort in Kansas (Clifton-Clyde is ranked 40th, while Frankfort is ranked 201st).
