The Pacific Grove Breakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 79-71 win over Alisal. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Pacific Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Nimri, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nimri has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sergen Serttunc, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Cardenas, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Cardenas hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Gregory Cabrera was another key contributor, scoring 26 points.
Pacific Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Alisal, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.
Pacific Grove will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stevenson is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Alisal, they will be playing at home against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
