Aztec has gone a perfect 10-0 against Shiprock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will square off against the Chieftains at 6:00 p.m. Aztec is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, Aztec made easy work of Miyamura and carried off an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kamora Henry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Aztec got a massive performance out of Reagan Bradshaw, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave Bradshaw a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cami Lucio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Aztec always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Shiprock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-18 victory over Bloomfield on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Chieftains considering their one-run performance the game before.
Shiprock's record is now 6-8. As for Aztec, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 9-10.
Everything went Aztec's way against Shiprock in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Aztec made off with a 20-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chieftains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
