Atlantic Christian is 2-8 against Glades Day since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Atlantic Christian will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Glades Central on Thursday. The Sharks blew past the Raiders 25-8. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by nine runs or more this season.

Atlantic Christian got a massive performance out of Micah Herring, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Herring is becoming a predictor of the Sharks' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Reily Campusano, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Atlantic Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Glades Day came up short against Moore Haven on Wednesday and fell 8-4.
Taranza McKelvin Jr was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Alderman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Glades Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Atlantic Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .544. However, it's not like Glades Day struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Atlantic Christian's way against Glades Day in their previous matchup back in February, as Atlantic Christian made off with a 13-2 victory. Do the Sharks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
