The Rogers Eagles will take on the Thrall Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Thrall will come in with 11 straight victories.
On Friday, Rogers didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin and fell 13-12.
Rogers got a massive performance out of Kenzie Ulicnik, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Alinah Vidaurri, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, while Thrall put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Harper. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Longhorns. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Addison Dickens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Selena Quintanilla was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Riley Luton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Thrall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matchups.
Thrall's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Rogers, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rogers has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. However, it's not like Thrall struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rogers suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Thrall in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
