Stone Bridge (Ashburn, Va.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 27-6 victory over
Langley (McLean, Va.) on Saturday.
The Bulldogs were up 14-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter.
Stone Bridge expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. SB scored two times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
The Ashburn school's most effective player was
Sterling Dailey. The junior ran for one touchdown.
The Saxons' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Led by
Jonathan Allen, the Bulldogs had given up an average of 10.0 points prior to the contest.
When the two teams played each other last season, Stone Bridge came away with a 28-0 victory.
In a AAA Liberty game next week Stone Bridge (6-0) takes on Marshall, and Langley (3-3) will go up against Yorktown in a non-conference game.
