Manvel is 7-2 against the Wildcats since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Manvel Mavericks will look to defend their home court against the Angleton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Manvel knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Wildcats like a good challenge.
Manvel scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 69-64 win over Ball. The victory was all the more spectacular given Manvel's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 159th).
Meanwhile, Angleton lost to the Stingarees at home by a decisive 62-46 margin on Friday. Angleton has not had much luck with the Stingarees recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Manvel has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-16 record this season. As for Angleton, they dropped their record down to 12-19 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Manvel didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
