The Woodlawn Cardinals will hit the road for the first time this season to  take on  the DuQuoin Indians  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Woodlawn is leaving town to face DuQuoin after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Woodlawn came up short against  Frankfort on Monday, falling  10-4. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Redbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

 Woodlawn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Andrea Kibler, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Kibler is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged two or more in each of the last four games she's  played dating back to last season.
 DuQuoin kicked off their season on the road  on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost  12-0 to Chester.
 Woodlawn might still be hurting after the  13-3 defeat they got from DuQuoin  in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024. Can Woodlawn avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
