After two weeks on the road, Zephyrhills is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Wesley Chapel at 7:30 PM. Zephyrhills strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 34.29 points per game.
Zephyrhills might be getting used to good results now that the team has seven wins in a row. Last Friday, they came out on top in a nail-biter against River Ridge, sneaking past 21-19. Zephyrhills had a senior duo take command as Doug Crawford picked up 56 yards on the ground and accumulated 162 passing yards and Tyreese Wigfall's caught passes for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns. Crawford has been a consistent playmaker for Zephyrhills as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing six points in their last contest, Wesley Chapel made sure to put some points up on the board against Hudson. Wesley Chapel blew past Hudson 40-7. Wesley Chapel were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Zephyrhills to 7-0 and Wesley Chapel to 5-3. In Zephyrhills's victory, senior Doug Crawford picked up 56 yards on the ground and accumulated 162 passing yards and senior Tyreese Wigfall caught passes for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns.
