Columbus North's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Olivia Johnson and Miley McClellan. Johnson scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, while McClellan scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Johnson also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Columbus North has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Silver Creek, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus North on the road again on Friday and play against Bloomington North at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. The timing is sure in Bloomington North's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Columbus North has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Silver Creek won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Oldham at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th.
