The Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Central Lake Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses for Grand Traverse Academy and four for Central Lake.
Grand Traverse Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 64-36 loss at the hands of Brethren.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Charlie Dennis, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Wilkins, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Central Lake ended up a good deal behind Mancelona on Tuesday and lost 65-46. Central Lake has not had much luck with Mancelona recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Grand Traverse Academy dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Central Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
