Football Recap: Primero Skates Past Kiowa with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Primero). They claimed a resounding 65-38 victory over the Kiowa Indians. Considering the Bulldogs have won three matchups by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ralsten LePlatt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 162 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 76 receiving yards and three scores. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 142 rushing yards. Gabe Sintas was another key player, throwing for 120 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Primero was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in four consecutive contests.

Primero's record is now 4-1. As for Kiowa, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Primero will welcome Sierra Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 50.8 points per game this season. As for Kiowa, they will face off against Hanover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 32 points per game this season.
