After a string of three wins, Christian Fellowship's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sunnydale Academy by a score of 43-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Christian Fellowship has suffered against Sunnydale Academy since January 7, 2020.
Several Christian Fellowship players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Kate Bradley, who scored ten points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Kylie Babich, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Savannah Rester was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points for Sunnydale Academy. Rester has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Kassie Abrahamson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Christian Fellowship's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sunnydale Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will take on Wright City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunnydale Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hallsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
