The Harbor Creek Huskies lost against the Erie Royals back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Harbor Creek took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Erie. While losing is never fun, Harbor Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Erie is ranked 112th).
Harbor Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tucker Chwatek, who scored 11 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Wilson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Harbor Creek bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Erie, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Harbor Creek will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cathedral Prep at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Cathedral Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort LeBoeuf at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
