The Gulf Shores Dolphins put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Rain as Gulf Shores made off with a 43-21 win. The result was nothing new for Gulf Shores, who have now won eight matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Kolin Wilson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Ronnie Royal also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Gulf Shores' victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Rain, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulf Shores will take on Beauregard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beauregard will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Gulf Shores is ranked 15th). As for Rain, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Elmore County at 7:00 p.m.
