While Lake Cormorant's victory against Alcorn Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lake Cormorant sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Alcorn Central on Friday. Lake Cormorant hasn't had any issues with Alcorn Central recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Ma'Kayla Hill paced Lake Cormorant's offense, picking up ten kills. Hill got some help from Payton Davis and her 13 assists. Davis also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sofia Gonzalez, racking up three apiece.

Lake Cormorant now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Alcorn Central, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
