St. Joseph Academy is 7-1 against Menendez since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Menendez will be up against a hot St. Joseph Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. St. Joseph Academy walked away with an 8-4 win over West Nassau on Thursday.

The team relied heavily on Carlos Willis, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Dayton Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Menendez didn't have quite enough to beat Rockledge on Friday and fell 6-4. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Menendez saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tripp Barkoskie, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

St. Joseph Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Menendez, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

St. Joseph Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. St. Joseph Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Menendez, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Joseph Academy continue to outrun the ball?

St. Joseph Academy took their win against Menendez in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-3. Will St. Joseph Academy repeat their success, or does Menendez have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
