Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Girard Academic Music Program had to settle for a 54-52 defeat against Motivation on Thursday. Girard Academic Music Program has struggled against Motivation recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Girard Academic Music Program had strong showings from Christopher Jones, who scored 16 points, and Jadlin Rose, who scored 15 points. Rose scored a full 28.8% of Girard Academic Music Program's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jared Walker, who scored 7 points.
The losses dropped Randolph Vo-Tech to 0-2 and Science Leadership Academy to 1-1.
