The Fairfield Lions stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over McClain. Fairfield's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Leading Fairfield to victory were Cade Miller and Larkin Friend. Miller scored 13 points along with two steals, while Friend scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Friend hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Logan McIntosh was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fairfield's victory was their 17th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for McClain, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will take on North Adams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (North Adams is ranked 163rd, while Fairfield is ranked 166th). As for McClain, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Washington at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 two weeks ago.
