Gauge Elder made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Cavallone, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Camden Bojorquez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Clark entered their tilt with Silverado on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Skyhawks by a score of 8-4. That looming 8-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chargers yet this season.
Like Cimarron-Memorial, Clark also got a great game from a two-way player: Brody Ricci. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ricci was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ryland Gregorich was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Hudson Fraidenburg was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cimarron-Memorial has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Clark struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cimarron-Memorial suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Clark in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
