EATONVILLE, Wash. -
Cascade Christian (Puyallup, Wash.) notched 13 points on top of its 27-point lead going into the fourth quarter to win against Eatonville (Wash.) 47-7.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Jaelin Goldsmith to
Marshall Coleman in the first quarter, the Cougars were up 13-7 at the half.
Cascade Christian grew its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Hunter Murfitt.
With the win the Puyallup school extended its winning streak to eight games. Cascade Christian defeated Cedar Park Christian 56-21 last week.
Cascade Christian's standout player in the win was
Riley Ramos. The junior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Eatonville's lone touchdown came on a pass in the second quarter.
Cascade Christian went into the matchup giving up only 13.3 points per game. Eatonville's seven points were well below their season average of 35.4 per game. Eatonville came in giving up 16.1 points per game this season. EHS struggled against Cascade Christian's offense, which entered the game scoring 46.1 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Eatonville, who notched a 44-8 victory over Bellevue Christian in its previous outing.
