The Berean Christian Eagles and the Campolindo Cougars will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Berean Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 980th, while Campolindo is ranked 90th).
After a 58-56 finish the last time they played, Berean Christian and Summit K2 decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Berean Christian slipped by Summit K2 1-0 on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Berean Christian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Campolindo came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Liberty by a score of 49-37.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Campolindo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tim Smith, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Smith set a new season high mark in steals with three. Dylan Mansour was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Berean Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Campolindo, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
