On Tuesday, St. John's needed a bit of extra time to put away Elida. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs  7-6. The  win was nothing new for the Bluejays as they're now sitting on three straight.
  TJ Werts was a standout: he got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Drake Fittro, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of three wins, Lima Central Catholic's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They fell just short of Fort Jennings by a score of  8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Thunderbirds have suffered  since April 23rd.
 Lima Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for St. John's,  the  victory  got them back to even at 8-8.
