The match between them and Norwich RVT wasn't particularly close, with Cheney RVT falling 42-28. Cheney RVT has not had much luck with Norwich RVT recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Cheney RVT's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cristialis Carrasquillo, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Trinity Hazel who scored 14 points. Carrasquillo has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keishly Lopez, who scored two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cheney RVT has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Norwich RVT, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Cheney RVT will be playing at home against Grasso Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Grasso Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 14 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Norwich RVT, they will head out on the road to take on Vinal RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Vinal RVT is on a five-game streak of home losses, Norwich RVT a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
