After four games on the road, Mission Veterans Memorial is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Roma Gladiators at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Mission Veterans Memorial didn't have too much trouble with Juarez-Lincoln on the road as they won 54-35.
Meanwhile, Roma waltzed into their game Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They managed a 37-32 win over Cigarroa.
The victory got Mission Veterans Memorial back to even at 8-8. As for Roma, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Mission Veterans Memorial came up short against Roma when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 56-45. Can Mission Veterans Memorial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
