The Chatfield Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They lost to Arvada West at home by a decisive 71-56 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chatfield in their matchups with Arvada West: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tony Rondinelli, who scored 16 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Childs, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Arvada West was led to victory by James Hadzic and Keegen Balistreri. Hadzic scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Balistreri scored 16 points along with two steals. Hadzic is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Jordan Stremel was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatfield will challenge Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arvada West will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Ralston Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Ralston Valley is on a five-game streak of home wins, Arvada West a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
