The Thompson Tommies will be playing at home against the Devils Lake Firebirds at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Thompson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
 Thompson scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They came out on top against Hillsboro/Central Valley by a score of  81-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Thompson's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Drew Overby, who  scored 26 points along with six  steals and five  rebounds. Overby has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last six times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karter Peterson, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and ten  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Devils Lake faced Grafton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Devils Lake narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Grafton  68-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Devils Lake has posted  yet this season.
 Thompson's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Devils Lake, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
