The Mossyrock Vikings came tearing into Thursday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Willapa Valley by a score of 46-36. That's another feather in the cap for Mossyrock, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Willapa Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tylar Keeton, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Lauren Matlock was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Mossyrock's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Willapa Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
