North Broward Prep is 3-0 against Coral Springs Charter since September of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The North Broward Prep Eagles are on the road again and play against the Coral Springs Charter Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on October 20th.
Last Thursday, North Broward Prep was the victim of a tough 44-21 defeat at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, North Broward Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 171st).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mason Chapman, who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Coral Springs Charter got themselves on the board against Pompano Beach on Monday, but Pompano Beach never followed suit. They blew past the Golden Tornadoes, posting a 27-0 win on the road.
North Broward Prep's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-0 NSU University and 6-0 Archbishop McCarthy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.9% over those games). Coral Springs Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.
North Broward Prep took their victory against Coral Springs Charter when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 54-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Broward Prep since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
