The Plainview Indians entered their tilt with the Lone Grove Longhorns with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Plainview strolled past Lone Grove with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 56-38. That's another feather in the cap for Plainview, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jacelyn Hammon was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six assists and five steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Emilee Hedger, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Plainview pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Lone Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Plainview will be playing at home against Dickson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Dickson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Plainview is ranked 68th). As for Lone Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Marietta at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Marietta is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
