The Immaculate Mustangs won the last time they faced the Stratford Red Devils, and things went their way on Thursday too. Immaculate managed a 58-52 win over Stratford. Given Immaculate's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Stratford is ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Immaculate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kendra Foy, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foy has scored at least 25% of Immaculate's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Asmani, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Immaculate and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Stratford, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Immaculate will head out on the road to face off against Conard at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Conard is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Stratford, they will be playing at home against New Fairfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Fairfield will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
