The Galena Pirates had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over Pearl City. That's another feather in the cap for Galena, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Connor Glasgow was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Galena's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Hauber, who scored 15 points.
Galena is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Pearl City, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galena will take on Scales Mound at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scales Mound is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Galena a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Pearl City, they will head out on the road to face off against Durand at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Durand's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests.
