Syracuse and Farmington are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Titans will host the Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Syracuse has three straight victories, Farmington has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Syracuse beats Farmington with 16 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Titans put the hurt on Layton with a sharp 16-1 win on Friday. Considering the Titans have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sophia Knight was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Syracuse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Farmington lost 20-5 to Davis on Friday.
Ruby Andrus was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Strong, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Farmington's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Syracuse, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Farmington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Syracuse has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Farmington, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Syracuse's sizable advantage in that area, the Phoenix will need to find a way to close that gap.
Syracuse came out on top in a nail-biter against Farmington in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 13-12. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
