Baseball Game Preview: Meade County Green Waves vs. North Hardin Trojans

Meade County is 8-2 against North Hardin since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Meade County will look to defend their home field against North Hardin at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Meade County's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while North Hardin has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, Meade County beat North Bullitt 6-2.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Hail, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Aidan Bratcher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meade County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Bullitt only posted a batting average of .100.

The home team had won the previous seven meetings between North Hardin and Larue County, and Larue County kept the tradition alive. North Hardin lost 15-0 to Larue County on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Meade County's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Hardin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

North Hardin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Meade County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. It's a different story for North Hardin, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Meade County's hitters?
