Arvada West will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Ralston Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Mustangs on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Cooper Vais made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tate Deal, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Holden Goodrich was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Brigham Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Arvada West pushed their record up to 19-2-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Valor Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
