Last Friday, Darrouzett was beaten by Follett 74-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Darrouzett in their matchups with Follett: they've now lost nine in a row.
McLean suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Follett, falling 64-31.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jayvon Salazar and David Meeks. Meeks had a great game and scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Salazar was balling out in the loss, scoring eight points along with 16 rebounds and five steals.
Darrouzett's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for McLean, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.
Darrouzett took a serious blow against McLean when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 73-24. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Salazar, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 24 rebounds, and nine steals.
