Big North - Independence recap September 17, 2013
West Milford's Dylan Walko recorded the longest rushing play in Big North - Independence this season in his game against Wayne Valley last week. Walko's team fell to the Indians as he sprinted for 53 yards on the play and finished with 92 in all.
Fans got a thrill when Sean Dougherty and Kenny Clarke connected against Passaic Valley. The connection went for 91 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Ramapo's dynamic duo of Dougherty and John Goldschrafe proved tough for the Hornets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dougherty threw for 387 yards and 4 touchdowns and Goldschrafe had 150 yards receiving. Clarke helped Ramapo's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 131 yards.
The Raiders' dynamic duo of Dougherty and Goldschrafe proved to be unstoppable against Passaic Valley, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Walko was the most successful running back in the league this week. Anthony Battinelli also contributed to the rushing game with 58 yards on the ground.
Goldschrafe was the best wideout in Big North - Independence this week as Ramapo beat the Hornets.
Dougherty put up the best numbers through the air as Drew Gibbs' team defeated Passaic Valley.
He went 17-26 with 2 interceptions.
